About GeoX

The GeoX forum was founded in August 2005 to provide an unbiased and unmoderated discussion board for those with an interest in Geocaching, the Outdoors, Natural History and such like pursuits.

Although there were plenty of other regional geocaching boards such as Geofrees and Geocaching Ireland, many people were dissatisfied with the way some of these were being run. Bullying and abuse of moderator privileges were rife on these forums, and no amount of protest or reasoned debate would dissuade those who owned the boards from treating them as a personal feifdom. It was time for a change.

The only answer was to set up an alternative - a forum which was run on ethical lines, and where no-one would feel intimidated by cliques, nor be afraid to post for fear of the result. The alternative forum proved to be a great success.

The alternative forum is GeoX.
