Bumps and Birthdays...

(Last updated:24/09/00 16:35:31 UT)

Last Saturday, Audrey's birthday was marked by a gathering of the clans at the "Old Schoolhouse" restaurant and boozer. Those attending included Mike and Judy, Paul, Christine, Geoff and , of course, Diane who had flown in from England specially for the event. (Just as well, as it turned out - see below...)

An excellent (if rather noisy and disorganised) meal was had by all.

Unfortunately, on the following Tuesday, Audrey slipped and fell while crossing the car-park at Lagan Valley hospital. She suffered a broken (left) arm, as well as more minor injuries to elbow, shoulder, ankle and pride, approximately in that order.

Diane was on hand to render assistance, and to bully the hospital authorities into getting some x-rays done PDQ.

Audrey is now recuperating with Diane & Peter in Cambridge.

Speaking of whom... they are shortly to be moving house. (Again.) Matters are still being finalised, but more details in the next edition.

Earlier that month, Nick and Denise stopped for lunch after their thespian activities in Enniskillen.

By all accounts the production was a great success.

Up at the Lakes...

A nice e-mail from Robin, with news and some pictures from their holiday cottage, which many of you will know. He writes....

"These were taken at the cottage on Labour Day weekend. Janet and Marie have just finished preparing dinner and the rest of us are about to line up. It was a great dinner!! The boat we bought last year. We still have the one we got thirty years ago and it sits at a dock in the Marina waiting for Janet's family to come - so Marie and I don't have to go get them. I had always wanted to have an inboard-outboard and this was the most sensible one we could find. The new ones look like travelling lounges. Being heavier than the red boat it rides beautifully and makes triups down the lake much easier. I chose these pix because those family members who have visited us will have their memories stirred."

S.E.A.T.'s all round!

New cars this month for Paul (left) and Andrew (right)....

New e-mail addresses for Alison and for Geoff, added to list below. Note also revision (again) of Nick Taylor's address.

  Colour coding:

Each family is identified by a coded colour, as shown in this table.

I go by Surname only, so don't give me any grief about this.

Sweethearts, 'significant others' and additional characters appear in plain text.

The choice of colours does NOT signify any particular sectarian allegiance.
